Total employees: Manufacturing 700 person, Head office (Sales and Business support) 200 person.
We are seeking a dynamic Modern Trade Manager responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business targets within modern trade channels. Managing key accounts, building strong relationships with modern trade partners, and ensuring effective in-store execution to maximize sales and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement modern trade strategies to achieve sales, revenue, and distribution objectives for the medical food product portfolio across major Modern Trade channels (Tops, Lotus’s, Big C, Makro, Watsons, and leading pharmacy chains).
- Market & Campaign Development: Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and consumer insight studies to design and execute short- and long-term strategies, including integrated marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness and sales growth.
- Key Account Management: Build and manage strong partnerships with key accounts (supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores), negotiate trading terms, promotional plans, and joint business plans to secure sustainable growth.
- Channel & Promotion Execution: Lead product listings, onboarding, trade promotions, and merchandising activities to maximize product visibility and performance in-store.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, trade marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Logistics, and Creative teams to ensure product availability, timely launches, and effective promotional execution.
- Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance, analyze ROI, and identify opportunities for category growth, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- In-store Excellence: Ensure proper merchandising, pricing, shelf-space allocation, and promotional compliance in all Modern Trade outlets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Channel Management, Trade Marketing, or Modern, preferably in FMCG, OTC or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful in-store campaigns and trade programs.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong commercial acumen.
- Leadership skills with ability to manage and develop a sales team.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
